- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- salt and pepper to taste

How to make veg pulav recipe

1. Rinse the rice and soak in water for at least half an hour.
2. In a pot, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they start spluttering add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
3. Add minced garlic and cook for a few seconds.
4. Add diced carrots and bell pepper, followed by coriander powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot along with green peas.
6. Pour water into the pot, cover with a lid and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes or until the rice is done.
7. Fluff up the cooked rice gently with a fork and serve hot as it is or with raita on the side. Enjoy!
